Behind the Reign is a woman who writes from experience, emotion, imagination, and truth.
I’m **Kaia Reign**, and music is one of the most personal ways I express myself. I write about things I’ve personally gone through, emotions I’ve experienced, lessons I’ve learned, and moments that have shaped who I am. But my music isn’t only about my story. I also write about experiences that other people may have lived through—the heartbreak, love, desire, disappointment, confidence, growth, mistakes, memories, and complicated emotions that make us human.
Sometimes I write about something I’ve experienced firsthand. Sometimes a song comes from a conversation, an observation, a feeling, or a story that resonates with me. I take those emotions and turn them into lyrics, melodies, and sounds that people can connect with.
I want my music to be **relatable, emotional, and powerful**.
I want someone to hear one of my songs and say, *“That’s me.”* I want someone to hear a lyric and remember a person, a relationship, a moment, or a chapter of their life. I want my music to give people permission to feel whatever they’re feeling without having to explain it.
Some songs may make you fall in love. Some may make you remember. Some may make you hurt. Some may make you feel confident, empowered, or understood. And some may simply make you want to turn the volume up and enjoy the moment.
That range is important to me because life is not one emotion.
As a **singer, songwriter, and producer**, I’m involved in bringing my ideas from the first feeling to the finished record. I care about the words, the melody, the vocal delivery, the production, and the atmosphere because every part of a song contributes to the story.
I’m not interested in creating music that sounds good but says nothing.
I want there to be something behind it.
A feeling.
A memory.
A message.
A story.
A moment.
My music is my way of taking something personal and turning it into something other people can experience for themselves.
